SoloReach is a diagnostic-led business repair and development system — not a coaching programme. A coach works with you over time, helping you think through decisions and stay accountable. SoloReach does something different: it gives you a precise, structural picture of what is broken in your business, tells you exactly what to fix and in what sequence, and gives you the tools to do it. No ongoing sessions. No monthly retainer. A specific diagnosis and a clear plan — delivered immediately.
SoloReach was built by Gerhard van Rooyen — an Industrial Psychologist with a B.Com (http://B.Com)Honours degree, NLP practitioner, CliftonStrengths coach, and Strategic Intervention coaching certifications. More importantly, it was built by someone who spent a decade running a solo service business, experienced first-hand what structural failure actually costs, and spent the years that followed turning that experience into a precise, testable system.
The credibility behind SoloReach is not academic. It sits at the intersection of formal training in human performance, ten years of strategic business development in the SME market, four years of consulting practice, and a decade of operating a real business alone — including the part where it broke. That combination is not common. And it is exactly why the diagnostic measures what it measures, and why the Playbook addresses what it addresses.
SoloReach is built exclusively for solopreneurs in the service sector — the person running a real, serious business alone. Independent consultants, coaches, advisors, strategists, specialists, and practitioners who carry the full weight of delivery, sales, operations, and strategy simultaneously. It is not built for freelancers between gigs, hobbyists monetising a skill, or business owners with a team. If you have staff distributing the load, this is not designed for your situation.
It means the diagnostic comes first — always. Most business tools start with advice. SoloReach starts with a precise picture of what is actually broken. The diagnostic measures the health of your three core business systems, identifies where the structural failures are, and produces a personalised report before any fixing begins. The Playbook then gives you the sequenced plan to address what the diagnostic found — starting at the right place, in the right order. Diagnose before you fix. That decision changes everything.
Yes — and arguably more so. Most structural problems in solo businesses are present from the beginning. They just take time to become painful enough to notice. If your business is new and something already feels unclear — your positioning, your offer, your target market, your delivery process — the diagnostic will identify exactly what needs to be built correctly before you invest more time and energy on top of a weak foundation.
This is precisely who SoloReach was built for. Years of effort without corresponding traction is almost always a structural problem — not a motivation problem or a skills gap. The diagnostic identifies which of the three systems is causing the stall and gives you a sequenced plan to fix it. Most solopreneurs who have been running for years are surprised by how specific and actionable the results are.
The three-system model — CORE, COHESION, CONVERSION — was developed from direct observation of and involvement in real solo-run service businesses over more than a decade. The diagnostic questions were designed to surface the specific structural patterns that consistently appear in solo businesses that are struggling — patterns identified through consulting work, coaching engagements, and the experience of running a solo business through both failure and successful rebuild.
SoloReach is not a theoretical framework applied to solopreneurs. It was built from the inside of the problem, refined against real business situations, and structured around the specific constraints of running a service business alone. The Playbook frameworks have been tested in practice — not reverse-engineered from business school case studies.
Stop guessing. Get clear on what's broken in your business. Then fix it!
